New-Rule in Tunisia

During the latter half of March 2019, New-Rule’s Scott Carlson and Malcolm Russell-Einhorn met with a wide variety of rule of law stakeholders in Tunisia.  The team had a chance to explore the legal changes that have occurred in Tunisia since the Jasmine Revolution in 2011, which launched what is sometimes referred to as the “Arab Spring.”   Though experts might agree there is an ongoing need for reform, the progress completed thus far is significant, and Tunisian citizens and experts remain engaged in wide variety of ways to implement existing reforms and pursue others that are needed.
